Women's Soccer Falls 4-0 at Newbury

BOSTON – A four-goal first half, including a natural hat trick in 15 minutes by Shannon Walsh, gave Newbury College plenty of offense in a 4-0 victory over Mitchell College in women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at The Winsor School.

Walsh may have provided the three-goal outing, but Jennifer McDonald opened the scoring with her first goal of the season, on an assist by Elizabeth Kia, in the 21st minute.

Six minutes later, Walsh began her scoring display by knocking home her eighth, ninth, and 10th goals of the season. Carly Gibbard was credited with an assist on Walsh's third goal.

Goalie Noelle Sass got the win in her 10th start of the year and made four saves. Mitchell's Jordan Lohneiss finished with seven saves.

Mitchell (1-11-0 overall, 1-5-0 NECC) will next host Lesley University on Wednesday, October 19 at 3 p.m.
