Women's Soccer Falls at Eastern Nazarene

QUINCY, Mass. -- The Mitchell College women's soccer team suffered an 8-0 setback to Eastern Nazarene College in non-conference action on Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Lions scored four goals in each half to improve to 3-2 overall on the season. Kelly Couite and Sam Bernardi each finished with two goals and an assist to lead ENC while Kyndall Fry added a pair of scores.

The game was scoreless for the first 27 minutes until Couite broke open the floodgates. The Lions added three more goals over the next 15 minutes to take a 4-0 lead into the halftime intermission.

The story was the same in the second half as ENC continued to pepper the Mitchell goal with shots. The Lions held a 31-2 edge in total shots. Mitchell goalkeeper Jordan Lohneiss finished with a season-high 10 saves in the loss.

Mitchell (1-2-0 overall) will next host New England College on Wednesday, September 20 at 3:30 p.m.
