Women's Soccer Shut Out at NVU-Lyndon

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. -- The Mitchell College women's soccer team fell by a 5-0 final at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on Saturday afternoon at Varsity Field.

The Hornets (1-3-0 overall) picked up their first win of the season as five different players found the back of the net. Teagan Carpenter netted the lone goal in the opening half, which proved to be the game winner. Lyndon then tacked on four scores over the final 45 minutes to seal the victory.

Mitchell goalkeeper Drew Johndrow recorded 11 saves in the loss. Jacquelyn White and Carolyn Berlack each registered a shot on goal in the contest.

Mitchell (0-4-0 overall) will open up New England Collegiate Conference play against Eastern Nazarene College on Saturday, September 15 at 1 p.m.
