Women's Soccer Earns Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the Team Academic Award winners at the collegiate level to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year.

The Mitchell College women's soccer team was among the 990 college teams (344 men, 646 women) that earned the Team Academic Award. The annual award celebrates the academic achievements of college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.

It marked the first time in program history that the Mariners earned the award. College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 academic year.
