Fairbank Tabbed NECC Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College junior Lindsey Fairbank was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of women's soccer, as announced by the league on Tuesday morning.

Fairbank led the Mariners in scoring last week with five goals and an assist for six points. She notched her second hat trick of the season and added an assist in an 8-0 win over Medgar Evers College. She also recorded a pair of goals earlier in the week against SUNY Old Westbury.

Fairbank is the first Mitchell player to earn player of the week honors since 2016. She has started all 11 games this season and currently leads the team in scoring with 10 goals and three assists for 23 points. She is the also first Mitchell player to record double-digit goals in a season since 2011.

Mitchell (4-7-0 overall) will next play at Bay Path University on Wednesday, October 16 at 4 p.m.
