NEW LONDON, Conn. – Lesley University cruised to an 8-0 victory over Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon in a New England Collegiate Conference women's soccer clash at Alumni Field.

The Lynx scored five goals in the first half—including three in the first 3:43—en route to their fourth straight win. Gabby Vesona and Katelyn Scott each finished with a pair of goals to pace the offense, and three Lesley goalkeepers combined to make three saves while recording the clean sheet.

Tayla Mayberry got the Lynx off to a fast start with a tally just 1:27 into the contest. Claire Hounslow followed with a score 32 seconds later, and Vesona added her first of the game in the fourth minute to jump start Lesley to a 3-0 lead.

Vesona followed with another score in the 14th minute, this time off a feed from Mayberry, to extend the margin. Kerrie Larson wrapped up the first-half scoring with a marker in the 42nd minute to stake the Lynx to a 5-0 lead at intermission. Emma Feliciano kept the offense coming with a tally in the 51st minute, and Scott added goals in the 68th and 82nd minutes to close out the scoring.

The Lynx finished with a 27-6 edge in total shots. Mitchell goalkeeper Yordi Slover finished with seven saves.

Prior to the game the Mariners honored three seniors–Michaela DeSena, Yasmine Mai Le and Reanna Clark–in a special ceremony. All three got the starting nod in the final home game of their careers.
