BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. -- The Mitchell College women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Mass. Maritime on Thursday night at Clean Harbor Stadium. 

The Mariners displayed tough defense throughout, limiting the Buccaneers to just 11 shots on goal. Gemma Landy had yet another strong performance, making seven saves, while Angelina Munoz also saw time in net, making four saves.

The Mariners managed three shots on net, two of them by Elon Johnson and on by Taylor Bialowas, however none of them were able to find the back of the net.

Mitchell (0-2-1) will look to pick up their first victory of the 2022 campaign on Wednesday, September 14, when they play at Dean College. The Mariners then play on the road for the fifth straight game on Saturday, September 17, before finally hosting Northern Vermont-Lyndon in their home opener on Wednesday, September 21.
