Women's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at NEC

HENNIKER, N.H. -- The Mitchell College women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against New England College on Saturday afternoon in a New England Collegiate Conference tilt at Don Melander Field. 

Gemma Landry made 11 saves for the Mariners, the seventh game this season in which the sophomore keeper has registered double digit saves. Landry now leads the conference with 135 saves and is tops the NECC with a .888 save percentage. 

The Pilgrims generated the majority of the offense, getting 21 shots off compared to just six for the Mariners, however the Mitchell defense continued their strong play. Stephanie Bronowicki had four saves for the home team. Elon Johnson led Mitchell with five shots, three on goal, while Cassandra Roman notched a shot on goal as well. 

The Mariners (5-6-3 overall, 1-1-2 NECC) will next host Lesley University on Tuesday, October 25th at 3:00 pm. The Pilgrims (1-10-6 overall, 0-1-3 NECC) play next on Tuesday, October 25th at Eastern Nazarene College.
