Cordero Tabbed NECC Rookie of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Mitchell College freshman Lauren Cordero was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for the sport of women's soccer, as announced by the league on Monday morning. 

Cordero earned the distinction for the first time this season. The first-year player scored what proved to be the game winning goal just before halftime in the Mariners 2-1 conference victory over Eastern Nazarene on October 18th. It was the first goal of her colliegate career. 

Mitchell (5-6-3 overall, 1-1-2 NECC) return to play on Tuesday, October 25th with another conference showdown against Lesley at home at 3:00 pm.
