Bio

Emily Smith enters her first season as an assistant coach of the women’s program in the fall of 2023.

“Emily was a leader of a great college team," said head coach Marc Davis. "That experience is going to really help as she mentors our own leadership group. I have no doubt that she will connect with the group and be able to provide excellent insights based on her own journey as a college athlete."

Smith enjoyed an excellent career as a member of the Salve Regina Women's Soccer team, where she made 45 appearances as a key player in midfield. She also excelled off the field, earning the title of Scholar Athlete and being named as a team captain for her senior year.

Prior to Salve, Smith attended Saint Bernard High School where she was recognized on the Eastern Connecticut All-Conference team for three consecutive seasons. She also had a long and prestigious club soccer career for Southeast Soccer Club. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Special Education graduating with Honors, before completing her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2023, both from Salve Regina University.

A neighbor of the school, Smith resides locally New London, Conn. She has just begun full-time employment with Mitchell College as coordinator of the Mystic Program, helping students develop skills in environments that enhance their leaning and development.
