Mitchell sweeps Green Mountain College in AD3I match-up

Mitchell College Women's Volleyball celebrated Senior Day and the end of their regular season with a 3-0 sweep of fellow Association of Division III Independent (AD3I) member Green Mountain College on Saturday afternoon.  Today's win, makes the third in a row for the Pequots. 

Mitchell jumped out to a commanding 13-0 lead in game one with the serving of senior setter Trina Collins-Dean (Westerly, RI).  Collins Dean aced 10 serves earned 25 assists for the match.  In game two, Mitchell's senior co-captain Theresa Kouris (Ledyard, CT) helped the Pequots rack up 14 straight points serving and finished the day with 23 kills and 10 service aces.  Senior Stephanie Gamble (Wolcott, CT) had great match in the back row with key contributions as Libero for the Pequots. 

Today's game was the final game of the season for Green Mountain College, who heads back to Poultney, VT at 1-16 this year.  Mitchell, now 10-15, will use the next week to prepare for trip to the AD3I Championships Saturday, November 4^th and Sunday, November 5^th at Saint Joseph College of Maine (Standish, ME).  Joining Mitchell and Saint Joseph College of Maine will be the University of Maine - Presque Isle, Newbury College and Southern Vermont College.  MATCH RESULTS
