Connecticut College Defeats Mitchell College, 3-0

 New London, CT. -  In a great cross town contest Connecticut College Women's Volleyball team came out firing.  The Camels were lead by freshman Amy Newman (Los Angeles, CA)  with 6 kills, but Connecticut College to sweep the non conference match at Mitchell College.  Connecticut College served strongly and swept in three (25 - 11, 25 - 10, 25 - 7).

 The Camels posted 24 kills, 55 attack attempts, and 20 digs and 19 service aces and Kat Torrey added one solo block.  Junior Meg Christman (Wilmington, Del.) contributed four kills and one block. Kat Torrey (Cheshire, Conn.) distributed 13 assists for the winning side. Mitchell College had 5 kills, 13 attack attempts and 27 digs.

 The Camels will travel to Cambridge, Mass. this weekend to compete in the MIT Invitational Tournament.   The Camels are 6 -5 , 2 -1 in NESCAC play.

 Mitchell College returns to conference play this weekend when they host Baypath College and Lesley University on Saturday September 27th at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Mitchell is 3 - 4 overall and 1- 1 in NECC conference play.
