Volleyball Tripped Up at St. Joseph

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Mitchell College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Saint Joseph College on Wednesday night.

The loss was the first on the season for the Mariners (1-1 overall). Senior Heather-Renae Powers led the squad with seven kills while junior Stephanie Davis added five kills and a pair of aces. Junior setter Jennifer Bordonaro paced the Mariners with 14 assists and three aces.

The game at St. Joseph was the first of six consecutive road games for the Mariners. Mitchell will next play at Connecticut College on Wednesday, September 23 at 7 p.m.
