Volleyball Ousted at Curry


MILTON, Mass. – Curry College defeated visiting Mitchell College, 3-0, in non-conference women's volleyball action Tuesday night.

Curry (6-9 overall) survived a back-and-forth affair in the first set, outlasting Mitchell (1-8 overall) by a 25-21 final. In the second and third sets, the Colonels maintained a steady lead en route to 25-13 and 25-11 wins, respectively. 
 
Curry's Alyssa Keeney recorded a match-high 10 kills while Hannah Robison dished out a team-high 14 assists. Nicole Grambley and serving specialist Francesca Bollitier had five and four service aces, respectively.
 
The Mariners were led by senior Gloria Charles and sophomore Amanda Garcia with six kills apiece. Sophomore Nicole Caminiti recorded a match-high 15 assists.
 
Mitchell will next play a tri-match at Becker College on Saturday, September 28 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
