Volleyball Falls in Four Sets at MCLA


NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The MCLA Trailblazers survived a closely-contested match-up with the Mitchell College Mariners in non-conference volleyball action on Tuesday night, winning by a final score of 3-1.

MCLA won by set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 23-25 and 25-19.

MCLA was led by Sam Anderson, who compiled 12 kills on the evening. Tayler Wiese collected 16 assists and Allie Chang had 21 digs. Rachel Mills also recorded 10 digs.

Junior Amanda Garcia amassed a match-high 15 kills for the Mariners while classmate Kaisea Caramante recorded a match-high 35 digs. Freshman Janelle Rice also added nine kills for Mitchell, which hit a season-high .168 as a team.

Mitchell (4-11 overall) will next play at Lesley University on Saturday, October 11 at 6:30 p.m.
