NEW LONDON, Conn. – Regis College earned a 3-0 victory over Mitchell College in New England Collegiate Conference women's volleyball action on Saturday afternoon at the Yarnall Athletic Center.

Regis won by set scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 25-21 to improve to 15-10 overall and 4-0 in league play. Rachel Bartels posted a match-high 11 kills while Nicole Connolly added 10 and Sydney Trusty pitched in with nine. Haley Schulte handed out 33 assists to lead all players.

Regis fell behind early in the opening set and trailed by as many as six before rallying back. Consecutive kills by Bartels, Trusty and Courtney Mosher cut the deficit to 16-13 and sparked an 11-1 run that put the Pride in the driver's seat. Crystina Lathrop made huge contributions from the service line during the spurt, serving for seven straight points that included four aces. The end result was a 21-17 lead that propelled Regis to the first-set victory.

The second set was tied at 16-16 before a Mitchell service error and back-to-back kills by Connolly put the Pride in front for good. Connolly finished with seven of her 10 kills in the stanza as Regis pulled out to a 2-0 lead.

Bartels picked up her game in the third set and tallied six kills to lead the Pride to victory. Several errors cost the Mariners down the stretch, as Regis won seven of the final 10 points to secure the match. Bartels ended her day with a kill on the final play on an assist from Schulte.

Prior to the match, the Mariners honored four seniors for their dedication to the program. Garcia, Caramante, Caminiti and Breanna Richard all got starting nods on Senior Day. Richard joined the team last season while the other three are four-year letterwinners.
