NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Mitchell College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at Albertus Magnus College on Thursday night in non-conference action.

Genesis Cora Luquis led the Falcons and recorded her third double-double of the season with 11 kills and 13 digs. Marissa Sweeney paced the Mariners with six kills while Myia Williams and Arianna Carter added four apiece.

Following the short break, the Falcons found themselves up 10, 21-11, before securing the 1-0 lead heading into the next frame. Mitchell took over the momentum of the match in set two, jumping out to a 16-2 lead en route to a 25-17 set victory.

The Mariners quickly fell into a 12-4 hole before calling timeout, and Albertus eventually pushed its lead to 10 at 24-14 before a kill by Marielis Muriel secured the match.
