CHICOPEE, Mass. -- The Mitchell College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback at Elms College on Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference action.
The Blazers won by set scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-8 to improve to 15-9 overall and 5-0 in league play. Ayanna Meadows led all players with 10 kills while Hayley Castanos added seven. Dakota Stewart fuelded the offense with 24 assists.
Nine different Mitchell players recorded a kill in the contest. Italia Krick finished with two kills and five digs to lead the way.
Mitchell (1-16 overall, 1-4 NECC) will next host Newbury College on Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
