LEICESTER, Mass. - The Becker College women's volleyball team closed out the regular season with a three-set victory over visiting Mitchell College on Saturday afternoon at the Leicester Gymnasium.
The Hawks (12-15 overall, 4-3 NECC) were led by Charlene Landry with 25 set assists, four service aces, six digs and three block assists. Micaela Rice finished with 10 kills, 10 digs and three aces. Kayla Dupree added six kills while Gillian Criddle contributed six kills and four total blocks, and Sofia Cullina led the defense with 15 digs.
The Mariners (2-15 overall, 2-5 NECC) were led by Italia Krick with seven kills and a .412 hitting percentage. Lauren Tompkins had 13 assists and eight digs while Marissa Sweeney posted 11 digs.
Despite the loss, Mitchell has earned a berth in the upcoming NECC Championship and will play in the opening round on Tuesday, October 31. All match-ups and game times will be released by the league later today.
