Volleyball Loses Two at NEC

HENNIKER, N.H. -- The Mitchell College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 finals to New England College and Norwich University on Saturday afternoon at Bridges Gym.

In the first game of the day, NEC captured a New England Collegiate Conference victory by set scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-17. A trio of Pilgrims each finished with six kills in the match. Laurissa Amaker led the Mariners with four kills while Cameron Childs added three. 

Mitchell fell by set scores of 25-8, 25-15 and 25-12 in the second game against the Cadets. Ariana Carter posted a team-high five kills for the Mariners.

Mitchell libero Shyla Phillips-Krick finished with 10 digs in each match.

The Mariners (0-8 overall) will next host Southern Vermont College on Saturday, September 29 at 2 p.m.
