Conn College got out to quick leads in each of the first two sets to seize control early. A 6-1 run jumpstarted the second set for the visitors, who had seven different players record a kill in the stanza.

The third set was a different story as Mitchell fought hard to prolong the match. The Mariners took their biggest lead following a kill by Nikki Gerald that made it 8-5. The Camels responded with four straight points with Hewlin at the service stripe to retake the lead, and from that point on it was a back-and-forth affair.

However, the Camels fought off the ensuing set point and later sealed the match behind consecutive kills by Bridget Fatse and Emma Roberts.
