Nick Knisel

Sophomore Nick Knisel of the men's golf team turned in an impressive performance at the 2017 New England Collegiate Conference Championship last week. He opened the two-day tournament with a round of 76, the lowest by a Mitchell golfer in the 10-year history of the event. He then shot 80 in the final round to secure a ninth-place finish and a spot on the all-conference second team. He is the first Mariner to earn all-conference status since 2008, and his two-day total of 156 is the lowest ever by a Mitchell golfer at the NECC Championship.
