Junior Kate McCormack scored a season-high six goals to lead the Mitchell women's lacrosse team to its first win of the season last week. After netting four in the first half against MCLA, she tallied two more goals in the second that included the eventual game winner. She also secured four ground balls and five draw controls while causing a team-high four turnovers in the contest. For her efforts she was named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week on Monday for the first time in her career.
