Sophomore Laurissa Amaker averaged a team-high 3.33 kills per set last week to lead the women's volleyball team to a split in New England Collegiate Conference play. In a five-set win over Newbury she posted a career-high 20 kills and a season-high 23 digs. She also served for 11 straight points during the crucial fifth set as the Mariners won 13 of the final 14 points to secure the match. Earlier in the week she finished with 10 kills and nine digs in four sets at Bay Path.
