Senior Steffen Brunson averaged a team-high 19.0 points per contest over a three-game stretch for the men's basketball team, which went 2-1 and picked up a league win in the process. He dropped in a career-high 26 points and added six rebounds in a road victory at Newbury, sinking a pair of free throws with seven seconds to go to put Mitchell on top for good. In a win over Johnson & Wales (FL) he netted 11 points and tacked on six rebounds and three assists, and against Keiser he finished with 20 points, nine assists and six rebounds. For his efforts, Brunson was named NECC Player of the Week on Monday for the first time in his career.
