Junior Hasani Williams averaged 13.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game last week while leading the men's basketball team to a 2-1 record. He also eclipsed a career milestone, becoming just the fifth Mariner in the program's Division III era to score 1,000 points. He started the week with eight points and three rebounds in a non-conference win over Connecticut College, helping Mitchell to its first sweep of New London rivals since 2014. He then posted a pair of double-doubles in league play, finishing with 17 points and 12 rebounds against Becker College and 16 points and 12 boards against New England College. He reached the 1,000-point plateau early in the second half against Becker as the Mariners went on to win by 23.
