Chas Terni Jr.

Freshman Chas Terni Jr. (Montville Conn.) has had a hot start to his collegiate career, slashing .438/.471/.750 across four games for the Mitchell College baseball team, who are off to a 3-1 start.

Terni has collected a hit in each game and has multiple hits in two of four contests. After recording one hit in the season opener, he turned in a 2-3 performance on the road against William Peace, scoring two runs in the second game of the season. Terni Jr. then delivered big for the Mariners in their home opener on Sunday, March 3rd, finishing 3-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored. The first home run of his collegiate career came in the clutch, as the third baseman belted a go-ahead two run home run in the fifth inning to give Mitchell a lead in which they would not relinquish during a non-conference game against Brandeis.

He also started all four games at third base and did not make an error, posting a fielding percentage of 1.000.
