Brooke Whitmarsh

It was a dominant week for Mitchell College junior Brooke Whitmarsh (Portsmouth, R.I.), as the junior catcher/third baseman slashed .440/.500/.640, helping guide the Mariners to a 6-2 record on the week, including a 5-1 mark in conference play.

Whitmarsh belted one home run, drove in six runs, added two doubles, and scored six times. Her performance only improved when facing GNAC opponents, as the slashed .556/.619/.833 in six conference games, with 10 hits, including one home run and a pair of doubles, to go along with six RBI and five runs scored. Whitmarsh added a pair of walks and a stolen base, while striking out just three times in 25 at bats.

Entering the new week, Whitmarsh is batting .391 with one home run, six doubles, two triples, 14 RBI, and 13 runs scored in 24 games played.
