Deborah Carey Decker was Mitchell’s first NJCAA First Team All-American in soccer. She played on the first Mitchell women's soccer team for head coach Remo Iozzia. Deborah led Mitchell women's soccer in scoring and to the NJCAA New England title in 1985, again in the college’s first varsity season. Mrs. Decker was also a standout point guard on the 1985 and 1986 New England Women’s Basketball Championship teams and led the 1984-85 team in assists. During her career the women's basketball team compiled a 48-6 record in her two seasons.
