Women’s Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Day Against Rivier

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College women’s lacrosse celebrated senior day on Saturday afternoon, honoring Hannah Gomes (North Stonington, Conn.), Jessica Krupnikoff (Farmington, Conn.), Carly Potts (New London, Conn.), and Isabel Foley (Framingham, Mass.) before suffering a 20-2 loss in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game against Rivier University.

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Sophomore Adam Vartanian (Cumberland, R.I.) came through with a walk-off single into left field on Wednesday evening, pushing the Mitchell College baseball team past Keene State College 8-7 in non-conference action at Alumni Field.

It was a dominant week for Mitchell College junior Brooke Whitmarsh (Portsmouth, R.I.), as the junior catcher/3B slashed .440/.500/.640, helping guide the Mariners to a 6-2 record on the week, including a 5-1 mark in conference play.

Michael Ficocelli (North Providence, R.I.) continued his strong freshman season, slashing .467/.467/.533, helping guide the Mitchell College baseball team to a 3-0 record on the week, including a 1-0 mark in conference play.
