Chris Gibbs

Senior Chris Gibbs (New Britain, Conn.) was dominant on the mound across two appearances for the Mitchell baseball team, tossing eight shutout innings, earning one win and one save, surrendering just three hits an three walks, while striking out seven.

Gibbs began the week by coming out for the ninth inning in a one run game and getting the save in a 4-3 victory over nationally ranked Salve Regina. He then got the start in the first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) game of the season on Saturday against Anna Maria and tossed a seven inning complete game shutout, scattering three hits and two walks, striking out seven in the win.
