Men’s Golf Hosts Mitchell Invite II
GROTON, Conn. – The Mitchell College men's golf team returned to action on Tuesday, hosting Emmanuel College, Eastern Connecticut State University, and Western Connecticut State University at Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, Connecticut.
Eastern's Jacob Napolitan earned medalist honors, shooting a two-over-par 73 on the day. The Warriors also took home the top team score, posting a 297 overall. The Warriors of Western Connecticut finished second, finishing with a team score of 328, while Emmanuel (334) and Mitchell (363) rounded out the pack.
A week after finishing one stroke under par at Shenecossett, Mitchell's Shamus McLean placed second, shooting a three-over-par of 74. Jack Hayes was the second finisher for the Mariners, logging an 86, while Micheal Thompson (100), Jackson Rappel (103), and Luke Sullivan (109) concluded the Mitchell participants.
