Cross Country Runs in Connecticut College Invitational
WATERFORD, Conn. -- The Mitchell College men's and women's cross country teams returned to action on Saturday, making the short trip to Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford for the Connecticut College Invitational.
Freshman Albert Franck paced the Mariners, finishing the men's 8,000-meter white race in 30:52. Collin Rider was the next men's finisher for Mitchell, coming across in 33:32. Liam Robb and Timothy O'Hayre rounded out the pack for the Mitchell men, crossing the finish line in 36:19 and 37-39 respectively.
Matthew Driben of Brandeis University was the overall winner of the 8,000-meter white race with a time of 25:25, while Allegheny College was the team winner.
Junior Abby Rasmussen was the top finisher for Mitchell in the women's 6,000-meter white run, posting a time of 30:49. Katelyn Lipski (38:24), Samantha Kasheta (49:12), Chase Bonnin (49:12), and Chelsea Jackson (49:41) also competed for the Mariners.
Ruby Krasnow of Clark University was the top individual finisher in the women's 6,000-meter white run with a time of 22:03, while Westfield State earned the team title.
Mitchell College will return to action for the NECC Championship on Saturday, October 29.
