Bio

Cenk Akarpinar enters his second season at Mitchell College in 2024-25. He was retained by Todd Peretz after spending the previous year as a coach for Stonington High School. He joined the program on Sept. 3, 2023.

Akarpinar worked for Stonington High School in 2022-2023. He joined the coaching staff following its 2-8 start to the season, helping lead them to a 12-11 record and Eastern Connecticut Conference championship.

At Mitchell in last season, Akarpinar oversaw video scouting efforts and was responsible for the player development, breakdown, scouting and presentation of game film. He also handled player edits for individual players' use, created recruiting videos and film for coaches' evaluation.

Akarpinar also works for Los Angeles Sparks as an Advance Scout. He is responsible for the upcoming opponent analysis, scouting reports, video breakdowns, in game analysis and player edits for individuals.

A native of Turkey, Adana, Akarpinar received his Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering from GAUN in May of 2021. He successfully completed Euroleague Head Coaches Academy from University of Belgrad in 2022.
