Mariners Land 14 on NECC Academic All-Conference Team


MANSFIELD, Mass. - A total of 204 student-athletes, including 14 from Mitchell College, were named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference Team for the 2019 fall semester.

Representing the Mariners were sophomore Grace Burns (women's cross country), sophomore Tina Caruso (women's cross country), junior Hannah Corrigan (women's soccer), sophomore Stephanie Costabile (women's volleyball), senior Michaela DeSena (women's soccer), junior Diego Di Carlantonio (men's soccer), junior Kaitlynn Floyd (women's soccer), sophomore Joshua Hermann (men's cross country), sophomore Chad-Wayne Hopkins (men's soccer), senior Yasmine Mai Le (women's soccer), junior Emily Phillips (women's cross country), sophomore Brandon Reynolds (men's cross country), sophomore Mason Rubino (men's soccer) and senior Seth Strader (men's soccer).

A total of 10 Mariners were first-time fall honorees. Corrigan, Di Carlantonio and Le were repeat selections while DeSena earned the distinction for the third time in her career.

To be eligible for NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standing. Student-athletes who competed in men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's and women's cross country and field hockey were eligible for fall NECC academic honors.
