PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Mitchell College baseball team erupted for a season-high total of runs in a 15-7 victory over Moravian College on Thursday afternoon.
The Mariners (6-0 overall) had every starter record a hit in the contest. Steven Pagan went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead the way while Tristan Hurley and Tyler Pina each finished 3-for-6.
Starting pitcher Bryton Ferris picked up the win in his first action of the season, lasting 5.0 innings. Marcus Guadarrama closed out the game with 4.0 scoreless innings of work.
Mitchell returns to action on Friday, March 11 with a doubleheader against Alvernia University at 9:00 a.m.
