Hill Named NECC Player of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College senior forward Parris Hill was named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the sport of men's basketball, as announced by the league Monday morning.
Hill averaged a team-high 22.5 points per game last week while leading Mitchell to a 2-0 mark in league play. He also added 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 54 percent from the field. He netted a team-high 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a double-overtime victory over Becker College. He then dropped in a team-high 22 points and added nine boards, two steals and a pair of blocks in a win at Elms College.
Hill earned player of the week honors for the second time this season and the fifth time in his career. He currently leads the NECC in scoring (23.4 ppg) and ranks second in both rebounding (7.9 rpg) and blocks (1.4 bpg).
Mitchell (7-9 overall) will next host Connecticut College on Tuesday, February 3 at 5:30 p.m.
