Softball's Krolikowski Named NECC POW
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College softball player Sara
Krolikowski was named NECC Player of the Week on Monday, as
announced by the New England Collegiate Conference.
Krolikowski, a senior catcher, helped the Mariners to a 7-1 record
last week. She batted .500 (12-for-24) over the eight games and
slugged .583 with a .536 on-base percentage. She finished the week
with 12 hits, two doubles, 10 RBI, five runs scored and three
multi-hit games. In a 10-1 victory over Johnson & Wales,
Krolikowski went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI. She was also
stellar behind the plate, posting a perfect fielding percentage
while not committing an error in 55 chances.
Krolikowski has started and played in all 18 games this season for
the Mariners. She is batting a team-best .453 at the plate and also
leads Mitchell in hits (24), doubles (5), homers (3), RBI (20),
slugging (.717) and on-base percentage (.516).
Mitchell (12-6 overall) returns to action at Coast Guard on
Tuesday, April 13 at 3 p.m.
