2022: A NECC All-Conference First Team selection ... an ABCA/Rawlings Division III New England All-Region Third Team selection ... started and played in 42 games, all but one of which came behind the plate ... batted .320 with 35 RBI and 37 runs scored ... had eight doubles and nine home runs ... the nine homers were the second most in a single season in the school's Division III history ... drew 16 walks ... stole three bases ... had 15 multi-hit games ... had nine multi-RBI games ... longest hitting streak spanned 10 games ... went 3-for-5 with a double, homer, three RBI and a run scored on opening day at William Peace ... had three hits, including a double and a homer, while driving in two runs against Ohio Wesleyan ... homered in both games in a doubleheader against Rutgers-Camden and plated a combined six runs ... crushed three homers, including a grand slam, and drove in six runs against Middlebury ... hit safely in all five games of the NECC Championship and finished with eight hits ... had a hit against Rowan and scored a run against Lebanon Valley in the NCAA Regional ... named NECC Player of the Week on March 21.

NEW LONDON, Conn. – After capturing the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) championship during their inaugural season in the conference, the Mitchell College baseball team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. On Monday afternoon, the Mariners learned their fate in the Regional Round, and will travel to Babson College, who was selected as one of 16 regional hosts.

Senior Student-Athletes Honored at Annual Banquet
NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College Department of Athletics hosted its annual senior awards banquet on campus in the Weller Center on Wednesday, May 8th. The event, which drew over 100 guests, featured a series of end of year awards, along with recognition of the senior athletes in the class of 2024 as the academic and athletic year comes to an end.

Baseball Wins First Game of GNAC Championship Series
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Junior Chris Gibbs (New Britain, Conn.) tossed seven innings of one-run ball while senior Camren Varney (Manchester, N.H.) tied the program record with his sixth career save, as the top-seeded Mitchell College baseball team held off second-seeded Johnson & Wales University 3-1 in the opening game of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship best-of-three series Thursday afternoon at Alumni Field.
