Lyndon State Edges Mitchell 12-11 in Mens Lacrosse Action
NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Lyndon State Hornets recorded their
first win of the season defeating Mitchell College, 12-11, this
afternoon in men's lacrosse action. Zach Ledvina (New
Bedford, Mass.) put up big offensive numbers in the loss for the
Mariners, as he scored six goals and dished out three assists.
The Hornets (1-0) received seven goals from senior attacker Craig
Salvagno (Trumbull, Conn.), and Chris Mansour (Mansfield, Mass.)
tallied four goals and an assist in the win.
Ian Gosselin (Uncasville, Conn.) chipped in with three goals, while
freshman Adam Grillo (Waterford, Conn.) had two assists in the
loss. Freshman goalie Gregory Jameson (Newington, Conn.) had
15 saves for the Mariners.
The Mariners next game will be March 22 when they travel to Green
Mountain College.
