LeMay, Noble to Represent Mitchell at NCAA Leadership Forum
BALTIMORE - Seniors JD LeMay and Lindsay Noble will represent Mitchell College this weekend at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.
The NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum is an opportunity for college athletes, coaches and administrators to collectively learn about themselves and grow as the next generation of leaders. The Forum kicked off today and will run through Sunday, November 13.
LeMay is a three-time all-conference selection in the sport of men's lacrosse. The Mitchell goalie has made 43 career starts and racked up 607 saves through three seasons. A team captain since his sophomore season, he is a co-president of the Mitchell Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Noble, a four-year starter on the women's soccer team, just recently wrapped up her playing career. She missed only one game in her entire career and made 62 starts as a defender. This past season she was named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Sportsmanship Team. Off the field she is a two-time NECC Academic All-Conference Team selection and is co-president of the SAAC.
The NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum engages a diverse and dynamic representation of student-athletes, coaches, faculty and administrators. Student-athletes selected to attend Leadership Forum return to campus with invaluable leadership skills, the experience of exploring the relationship between personal values, core beliefs and behavioral styles, and a thorough understanding of the NCAA as a whole, the different divisional perspectives and the valuable role of Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC).
The Leadership Forum, created in 1997, has been a life-changing experience for nearly 5,000 student-athletes, many who have grown personally and professionally, gained a new network of peers and friends, as well as felt the rewards and importance of community service.
