Golf Opens the Season Against RIC
GROTON, Conn. - The Mitchell College men's golf team opened the 2011 season on Wednesday afternoon with a home match against Rhode Island College at Shennecossett Golf Club.
Rhode Island College won the head-to-head contest with a team score of 327. Tim Leigh led all competitors with a round of 79. Mitchell shot 377 as a team and was paced by senior Tad Maynard's round of 86.
Mitchell will next compete at the Blazers Invitational on September 28.
