Even with a disappointing end to the season finishing with a record of (17-11) and CUNYAC tournament losses to the City College of New York (16-13) and eventual champion John Jay College (27-14), Mitchell coach Len Farquhar was delighted with his team's recognition. "We are very pleased and honored to have two of our players selected for the very prestigious awards of conference player of the year and pitcher of the year. The results of these awards are the dedication and hard work of both Seth Nowakowski and Sal Messina, and the leadership and work ethic they bring to the field everyday! On behalf of the Mitchell College Baseball program, I would like to thank the CUNYAC for supporting and acknowledging our student athletes."
In addition to Nowakowski and Messina, Freshman Jeremy Chapman and Senior Daniel Lanoue were selected members of the Second-Team All CUNYAC.
