2013: A NECC All-Conference First Team selection ... named to the
NECC All-Tournament Team ... one of three players who started and
played in all 39 games ... made 38 starts in right field and one in
center ... batted .300 with a team-high 38 RBI and 28 runs scored
... led the team with 17 extra-base hits, including 12 doubles and
a three home runs ... slugged a team-high .508 ... stole 10 bases
in 12 attempts ... led the NECC in both homers and RBI and
also ranked among the league leaders in slugging (3rd), doubles
(T-4th), triples (T-8th), runs (10th), walks (T-12th) and
stolen bases (15th) ... in conference play, batted a league-high
.434 with 17 RBI and 20 runs scored in 18 games ... in NECC play,
ranked among the leaders in on-base percentage (1st), runs (T-1st),
home runs (2nd), slugging (2nd), doubles (T-2nd), RBI (T-3rd),
hits (T-3rd), triples (T-4th), walks (T-4th) and steals (T-15th)
... recorded a hit in 14 of 18 conference games and reached base
safely in every game ... had 10 multi-hit games ... had a team-high
nine multi-RBI games ... longest hitting streak spanned seven games
... collected his first career hit, a double, and drove in a run
against Rockford ... hit for the cycle in the series opener against
Becker, going 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored ... the
home run was the first of his career ... added two more hits and a
pair of RBI in the second game against Becker, finishing 6-for-6
from the plate on the day ... homered in the opening game of the
Lesley series ... went 4-for-8 with two doubles, a triple, five RBI
and three runs scored in a doubleheader at Southern Vermont ... had
six hits and seven RBI over four games in the NECC Championship,
including a five-RBI game in a win over Daniel
Webster ... a two-time NECC Rookie of the Week selection

It was a dominant week for Mitchell College junior Brooke Whitmarsh (Portsmouth, R.I.), as the junior catcher/3B slashed .440/.500/.640, helping guide the Mariners to a 6-2 record on the week, including a 5-1 mark in conference play.

Michael Ficocelli (North Providence, R.I.) continued his strong freshman season, slashing .467/.467/.533, helping guide the Mitchell College baseball team to a 3-0 record on the week, including a 1-0 mark in conference play.
