
Men’s Lacrosse Can’t Slow Down USJ
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Mitchell College men's lacrosse team suffered a 24-1 loss to the University of Saint Joseph on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play at the USJ Lacrosse Field.

Senior Weston Schumacher (Sherborn, Mass.) tallied his team-leading 12th goal of the season with 6:17 remaining in the first quarter off an assist by junior Keeano Gonzalez (New London, Conn.), his team-best fourth of the spring. Gonzalez added a team-high eight ground balls, while senior CJ Bradley (West Babylon, N.Y.) scooped up four ground balls for the Mariners.
Senior Dylan Kinsella (Waterbury, Conn.) logged all 60 minutes in the cage for Mitchell, turning away 17 shots.
Trey McCann got the win in the cage for USJ, playing the opening 4:09. Noah Isleib played the remainder of the game in goal, allowing one goal and making one save.
The Mariners (0-10, 0-9 GNAC) return to action when they host Dean College in a GNAC tilt on Wednesday, April 24th, at 3:00 pm. The Blue Jays (12-3, 8-1 GNAC) will look for their fifth consecutive win when they travel to face Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday, April 24th.
