Becker Tops Lax
LEICESTER, Mass. - The Becker College men's lacrosse team handed
Mitchell College a 21-4 defeat on Saturday afternoon.
The Hawks, playing in their final game of the year, finished the
season at a respectable 7-8 overall. Mitchell dropped to 1-9
on the season.
Becker outscored Mitchell 11-2 in the opening quarter and
never looked back. Aaron Fill scored his second goal of the
game with just under two minutes left in the first quarter to notch
his 100th goal of his career. Josh Fask led all scorers
with seven goals to give him 70 points on the
season. Fill finished the game with five points (3 goals, 2
assists) while Joe Ignagni, Jay Ahern, Jon Nessen and Jeff
Petersen each had four points in the win.
Scoring goals for the Mariners were Aharon
Wall, Joseph Rice, Adam
Grillo and Steven Barnett. Joseph
Nott and Gregg Jameson split time in goal. Nott finished
with 10 saves while Jameson had two.
Mitchell returns to action at home against Green Mountain College
on Monday, April 26 at 4 p.m.
