FRANKLIN, Mass. -- The Mitchell College men's lacrosse team suffered a 13-4 setback at Dean College on Saturday afternoon at Grant Field.
In their first game action in two weeks, the Mariners (1-2 overall) came out sluggish and fell behind 6-1 in the first half. Goalie JD LeMay did his best to keep Mitchell in it, making a season-high 26 saves against 59 total shots.
McCarthy Brodaski scored two goals to lead the Mitchell offense while Kyle Marsh and Jacob Setzko each netted one. Marsh also scooped up a team-high six ground balls.
The Mariners killed off all four penalties they received and went 1-for-7 with the man advantage. Dean (5-1 overall) held big advantages in both faceoffs (16-4) and ground balls (53-21).
Mitchell will next play at Nichols College on Wednesday, March 22 at 4 p.m.
