Golf's Grudgen Tabbed Rookie of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Mitchell College sophomore Matt Grudgen was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week for the sport of men's golf, as announced by the conference on Monday morning.
Grudgen turned in the lowest round by a Mitchell golfer this season with an 82 in a head-to-head match against Anna Maria College last week. He finished with the low round of the match and helped the Mariners post a victory over the AMCATS.
Grudgen has played in two of three events for the Mariners this season. He also led the team in a tri-match against Newbury College and Emmanuel College earlier in the year.
Mitchell will next compete at Becker College on Tuesday, September 24 at 1 p.m.
