ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Mitchell College women's volleyball team split a doubleheader at Bard College on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-2 to Farmingdale State College before besting the hosts by a 3-0 final.
Mitchell (4-3 overall) returns to action at Albertus Magnus College on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 p.m.
Farmingdale State 3, Mitchell 2
Mitchell opened the day with a five-setter against Farmingdale State, taking the first two frames by scores of 25-18 and 25-22. The Mariners nearly clinched the match in the third set but came up just short, losing 26-24. The Rams then seized the momentum to roll to a 25-15 win in the fourth before completing the comeback with a 15-13 win in the fifth.
Olivia DeLoach led the Mariners with 13 kills while Bree Rudolph added 11. Cameron Childs finished with a team-high 22 digs while Lexi Hubbard handed out 16 assists.
