Three Volleyball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Three members of the Mitchell College women's volleyball team were named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Senior Allison Blum (Garden Grove, Cali.), junior Julia Lent (Miller Place, N.Y.), and sophomore Emily Rizzo (Bethel, Conn.) were the players to earn Academic All-District Volleyball honors, as selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
